Once-Shining Seas (The Siren's Song)

Literature Text
Once upon a clear midnight,
When all was bathed in silver light,
The blood shone bright upon the sand,
and grief echoed throughout the land.
Come, sailor, help to heal my pain,
Though years have passed, ‘tis still the same.
I wallow in this sea of tears,
condemned to live in doom and fears.
O please, my sailor, come with me,
come explore once-shining seas.
I'm cursed to live in misery,
only thou can cure this agony.
O sailor, show me what used to be,
the sun, the stars, all nature’s beauties.
I cannot find them anymore,
Lost are they in blood-soaked lore.
O please, my sailor, come with me,
come explore once-shining seas.
I wallow in this sea of tears,
condemned to live in doom and fears.
Come, sailor, help to heal my pain,
Show me what used to be.
My sailor, my dear sailor sweet,
Come join me in the sea.
